American Culinary Federation (ACF) Monte Dolce Spring Classic Competition
The Monte Dolce Classic is an approved American Culinary Federation Competition.聽 The competition will be held on Saturday, April 20th and Sunday, April 21st 2024 at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.聽 The event is open to the public for viewing.
The Saturday Competition will be a display competition.聽 There will be many tables set up and student and professional competitors will display their artwork.聽 The displays will represent Culinary聽Arts (Cold Platters), Baking & Pastry Arts聽(Specialty Cakes, Pastry Tables, Bread Displays)聽& Ice Carving聽(Finished Displays and Live Carving out on Old Falls Street)
The Sunday competition will consist of live contemporary cooking for student and professional chefs and pastry chefs.聽 Competitors will have a 1-hour time slot with a 10-minute window for plating to create and exhibit their best live-action skills as they are being closely watched by ACF-certified judges.聽 The competition will take place in Lab 208 on the second floor of NFCI and there are plenty of windows for spectators to view all of the action.聽 Once the plates are complete they will be placed on display tables for the public to view.
