Alumni Spotlight
William Briggs ‘20
I really liked the mix of practical and classroom experience in the field of Communications. There was a really good balance of learning Communication theory in class, while also getting the chance to run an actual Public Relations campaign, participate in a newscast, work with a teleprompter, visit a radio station, create print ads, and write for a published newspaper. SUNY Niagara really was the ‘Smart Place to Start’ for me. The proximity to home as a commuter student was great, and you just cannot beat the value of a community college. I am two years into my college experience with no debt, and I could not have done that anywhere but SUNY Niagara. After graduation, I transferred to Niagara University and major in Communication Studies with a Theatre Studies minor.
