Online Learning

SUNY Niagara offers a variety of flexible learning options including online, hybrid, blended, and hyflex courses. We also offer online programs and certificates.

Steps for Enrollment

These 7 steps are an overview of the process of becoming a matriculated (enrolled in a program) online student at SUNY Niagara.

  1. Complete the SUNY NiagaraÌý.
  2. Provide the SUNY Niagara Admissions Office with a copy of your official high school transcript or GED
  3. Students who wish to transfer credits from another accredited college or military institution must also supply the Admissions Office with official college transcripts.
  4. Immunization records – those students enrolling in complete online degree programs are not required to provide the College with immunization records, however, if you enroll in ANY on campus courses, you will be required to supply those records if born after 1/1/57.
  5. Complete placement testing or evidence of exemption. (see placement testing information below)
  6. Ìý– optional.
  7. ±Ê²¹²âÌýTuition

Placement Testing

SUNY Niagara uses testing to determine a student’s proper placement in the academic areas of Reading, Writing, and Math.

Testing Procedure for Online Degree Seeking Students

  1. Apply to SUNY Niagara and submit your high school/college transcripts.
  2. Contact the Testing Center at 716-614-6728 or testingcenter@niagaracc.suny.edu. Testing Center personnel will verify that you have applied and inform you of the tests you will be required to take. The will provide you steps to complete any required tests and you can contact the SUNY Niagara Testing Center at 716-614-6728 for an explanation of your test results.
  3. If you need help at any time during the testing procedure, please contact the Testing Center. For more details on Placement Tests at SUNY Niagara, visit the website below.
